A Great Cause-A Cinderella Affair

The end of the year is near, which means holidays full of thanksgiving and happy cheer. The New Year right around the corner usually is a great time to reflect upon the past, smile and be nostalgic but also to clear away the clutter... emotionally and material... So let me help with at least one aspect of that... the MATERIAL!

How can I help myself AND Others?

Wedding Hub Charities is holding an online dress drive for underprivileged high schoolers... The Cinderella Affair is "a yearly event held to assist underprivileged high school students with the high cost of prom by collecting and distributing gently-used formal wear." (Click Here for more info)

"For the cost of postage, you can make one high school girl feel like royalty for a night. So what are you waiting for?! Email Hannah to find out where to send your dresses on or before February 6, 2009, or if you are local, we’ll arrange to pick them up at a convenient location. All participants will be entered to win a surprise giveaway package, and take it from me, you’ll definitely enjoy this surprise. Okay, I’m bad at keeping surprises a secret, so I’ll tell you this: amongst other prize package items, one lucky lady will be walking away with the ability to do some serious damage at Target. Alright, but that’s it, my lips are sealed!"

I'm sure we all have a dress or two that could definitely be given to a great cause. Why not clear the clutter and make some beautiful young girl's day by donating your gently used dresses that you will most likely never wear again... even if you shorten it! You can make your "trash" someone else's "treasure!"
