Engagement Ring Photos

Per Anne Ruthman's "How to take Amazing Engagement and Wedding Ring Photos" and since I just had my ring fixed after THIS debacle, I've decided to take a few moments today, to memorialize how sparkly clean my baby came back!!! I've been meaning to take these for weeks now...I took these with my Canon 50D ... for some reason, they aren't uploading here as clearly as they are on my computer... but here they are anyways :)

Without Further Ado

I also just got some new stationary, which i thought were cute... Note the background: "Forget Love, I'd rather fall in Chocolate" - Makes me think of my girl Red! :)

I love this card, b/c it reminds me of my dark hair and FH's light hair... and note, i put *taped* my ring to his heart area! :)

I love these cards!

I like the reflection on my granite counters in some of these photos!

One of the things I love about my Ering is the detail... As you can see here, my band is two toned.

And here, you can see the yellow diamonds that are on the side of the mount! :)

This picture was with some flash...

And i loved how the glow came from below on this picture

And if you'd like to see some more, check them out here! :)

  1. I like the final picture the best, by far. That's just me, though! I can't believe how big your ring is!

  2. Very nice pictures.

I wonder what some photoshop might do to help emphasize your ring some more though. I love to mess with that stuff and I did quite a bit on my own (I'm sure you've seen them but check out Lab Created Gem to get an idea on my blog).

If you want me to take a crack at it just e-mail me. I've love to try (I kinda miss doing some photo work).

  3. Uh, I think someone must have made that "fall into chocolate" stationary about me! That's so adorable! I've said it once, and I'll say it again, I love your ring. :) Glad you were able to get it fixed!

  4. First off, your ring is stunning!!! Mine is quite similar in style but yours has some extra flair that I am LOVIN!!!

I was just told that you should use the setting that looks like a little flower and you can get some good photos. I got couple like that when I first got engaged and had to send it off to my girlfriends!

  5. I hadn't realized when you lost a stone that we were yellow diamond twins. Don't you just love your ring?

Are you using it to inspire parts of your wedding? I made the champagne color my accent color to highlight the ring (and the dress, now).

  12. LOVE the new pics, they turned out so well...and a key skill for next time you take pics of your mom's stuff. So happy you love your ring, and who wouldn't because it's gorgeous. The yellow is perfect, which we always knew, but it's always nice to be righ! I heart Mary Englebreit, and chocolate! :)
