Planters

So what do I do with this?

There are five or six of these that surround the "altar" area of our venue and everytime I've been there the planters look like that!

So what do I do with the ugliness that is in these planters?! Help!!!

  1. Oh my! The sight is beautiful, but those planters are a disgrace! I would ask your florist to create a large tropical arrangement of flowers to set on each of them!

  2. How about very large topiary balls shapes that could be stuck into the dirt by the wire form. I realize topiaries are considered formal but they could by made of untraditional greenery. At night they could be lit from the inside for a soft glow if they have a loose weave.

  3. Totally filll them in with your own flowers. Maybe do a few practice things. Or even talk to the people about getting fresh or nice looking flowers in their. It ridiculous it looks like that. JUmp on it girl

  4. Cover in fabric - top with arrangement of flowers that you like.

  5. have you asked the venue if they are going to do anything about them? maybe they just need to be reminded that they exist. But I seriously doubt anyone will care, they know it isn't your house and you aren't the one who neglected your plants. If you -really- want to throw money at them, I'd go with greenery (real or fake) to spruce them up. Maybe small potted plants that you can adopt and take home, or give away to local friends? I've taken home greenery that was once a friend's wedding decor and it's so fun to nurture a plant and think about it vicariously nurturing their union. Either that, or I'm just a really sleepy dork :P

  6. Are they really heavy? Maybe a few if the groomsmen can move them out of the way for the ceremony. Otherise I agree with Crystal Rae.

They don't look that bad to me though, will the wedding party be standing in front of them?
