Dressing the Flower Girl

So the other day i was walking home from work... and i walked right past an H&M and saw this...

I did a double take and stopped, trekked back and took that photo. It's a pewter girl's dress with some metallic shimmer on the overlays on the skirt portion - we wouldn't use the cardigan obviously... The price tag was also appealing $24.99

What do you think about the Pewter Dress - it would kinda match what my ladies will be wearing ... is that TOO much gray ? Should i have them in the white/light ivory to match me instead ? I also love the ideas of cute Tu-Tus...

What are you doing for your flower girls? If you don't have any children in your bridal party, what would you do? I'd love your input...

  1. That is such an adorable dress!!! I had my little flower girl in a tutu ensemble and thought she looked adorable. A very similar feel to the dress you found!

  2. CUTE! If I'd had a larger bridal party, I might have dressed the FG to coordinate with them. However, since it was so small. I just put her in t-length ivory dress from Flower Girl Dresses for Less. My aunt redid the hem because she thought it looked cheap, but the dress was all of $35. We returned the $250 J.Crew one because it was too big. :(

I think this is adorable though. And I'm so jealous becuase Nashville has yet to become a grown -up city and build and H&M.

  3. That dress is adorable! I was thinking of having accents on my FG's dress to match the bridesmaids, but maybe not totally matchy matchy. But if the pewter shades match, that dress is cute and the price is super appealing. I love the tutu look.

  4. I lOVE LOVE this idea!!!!

The bow makes it very girly - and I don't think it would be too much gray. I love the idea of the flower girl matching the bridesmaids actually. And the bridesmaids will be carrying bouquets, which i'm sure will be different from what the flower girl(s) carry.

And you really cannot beat the price tag.

If I had a flower girl i would steal this idea! For real!

  6. During the summer I saw a good selection of white and ivory dresses for little girls at Burlington Coat Factory for $25-$35. And to go with some of the dresses there were tiny matching dresses that a dolly could wear.

  7. That is WAY cute. I don't think it would be too much gray. If you were really worried, you could look at taking the bow off and putting a light colored sash on it.
