Eastern Market, DC Wedding Venue

I just saw this ... and my jaw dropped. If i was gonna get married in DC, i'd definitely want to check this venue out...

According to the article written by Tierney Plumb, Eastern Market is now open FOR WEDDINGS!!!!  "For nights or weekend days, for example, the rate is $5,100 to host weddings, national-level fundraisers or private receptions like a birthday party or memorial service for parties of more than 400."

I feel like the building is a blank canvas - lighting, pipe & drape and so much more can be done to really make the space unique to each wedding... Ohhh, i can't wait to start seeing pictures of weddings taking place here!!!

  1. just went to EM on Saturday, checked out the venue.

pros: it IS a blank canvas...great light. lovely historic building. big open space. comes with a large dance floor. cons: no parking and the market flows into the space...to that end, it smelled a little like "market" which may be worse in the hot summer months.
