can you recommend a face lotion that is good for the skin without being too expensive or hard to find??

Let's talk oily skin -- common issue with brides (usually comes with the glory of youth!): Weddings in the heat of summer mean more prep than oily skin on a cool day... Skip the moisturizer on wedding morning. Wash and tone your face. Try an oil-free primer (Smashbox makes a good one), use a sheer oil-free foundation that you press-and-blend on with a sponge. A light dusting then of sheer, oil-absorbing powder foundation can keep a matte finish for photos.
As oil starts to build during the day, BLOT (don't rub) with a skin blotting sheet - interestingly, those toilet seat covers in restrooms work well, lint-free - to press the powder foundation back down to the skin surface and absorb the oil.

Julianne - The right lotion for you depends on factors like where you are on the dry/flaky to oily scale?
SPF is essential for protecting your skin, but how much protection do you need? Sensitive skin? Frequent break outs?
Speak to me on this and I'll try to be more helpful!!

How about stay-put makeup for a paraben allergy? I'm having problems finding something that STAYS that I'm not allergic to. I may also have a lanolin allergy. ANY advice would be appreciated, since I get married in June and need to trial everything first!

keep your eyeshadow on all day by wearing an eye primer. urban decay makes a great one called primer potion. apply all over clean lids and shadow away!

first you should definetely see an allergist and dermatologist to determine your exact allergies. then think about going all natural for makeup. most natural makeup is free of a lot of toxins. ask you makeup professional about your concerns and make sure to do a trial to test the makeup beforehand.

The Unpredictable Bride - Let's talk smoky eyes. Smoky eyes look great on everyone and are easy to create because they don't require perfection. The simplest smoky eye is just a bit of smudged pencil drawn as close to the lashes as possible. Use a waxy kohl pencil for a smooth application. The color can be any dark shade but it should be strongest at the lashlines and softly feathered out. Use black liner on the inner rims of the eyes for intensity. If you want to step your smoky eyes up a notch, apply a shadow near the lashlines, then blend out. Make sure the shadow passes the creases so when you open your eyes it's not just a black eye but the lid is saturated with color that is softly feathered up and out.

Hope this helps.

I have oily skin that is prone to breakouts (mainly on my chin) and because of this my sister recommended Pro-Activ. I tried it and it made my skin WORSE. I mean like ten times worse! What would you recommend? Thanks!

Seems like breakouts on the chin area mainly are bacterial, sometimes from touching your face (are you at a desk\computer daily?) The product you tried will dry out your skin, causing your pores to secrete more oil to seek a balance. You need a more gentle targeted treatment. Recommendations:
1) keep hands away from your face, 2) use a cleanser-toner-moisturizer system 2x a day geared toward normal to oily skin (don't skip the toner for deep cleasing)
3)use an oatmeal-based exfoliant on the chin area to keep the pores from clogging and the dead skin from building up - Artistry's Skin Refinishing Lotion is excellent.
