Honeymoon!!

Off to my honeymoon... Talk about being budget-savvy... Hubby and I are currently on our FIRST CLASS flights to St. Maarten... all using miles (easy saver miles, so we BOTH saved 10,000 miles EACH by flying First class instead of Coach!) and we will be staying at the Divi Bay Resorts using a timeshare gift from his parents ... And yes, i am taking some instant food to save on some meals and splurge on others...

Can't wait to report back :)

My Absence

I apologize for my absence... no I have not left yet for our honeymoon ... but getting ready for a honeymoon takes a lot of work, sheesh LOL. On top of which, I've been working hard on getting the Weddzilla Blog all gussied up before I head out... have you checked it out yet? Let me know what you think.

I am planning to have more recap posts for next week as well as an awesome giveaway lined up, so don't give up on me yet... I have lots in store...

Honeymoon countdown

OMG. it is about time, is what I say... the hubs and I are getting ready for the delayed honeymoon, and i can't believe its less than 2 weeks away. We kept thinking its so far away and now its around the corner. Talk about not planning very well... So with about 10 days before we head out, I really need your help... Anybody gone to the Carribean? I'm a California Girl... so~ Cali, that a 3.6 earthquake in DC ain't gonna stir me... LOL. But seriously... I've never been near the Atlantic portion of the world, so need suggestions...

Have you been to any of the above? What did you do there? What should I do? Help me plan my honeymoon!!! Or can you check Vacation St. Maarten to help me pick some awesome activities? Restaurants to dine at? Activities? Nightlife?

And FYI, I wasn't not planning b/c i was fartin' around... I got some big things brewing in the mix... Can somebody say Relentless Bride & Weddzilla & Starwoods HONEYMOON Giveaway comin' up? Babies, Babies anyone?

So now that we're married, the big question has shifted from "are you getting married?" or any wedding-related questions to "babies? babies?"... and man oh man, i'm ready for it to stop. lol. Not only is it coming from family, but friends as well... and with many of my friends now getting pregnant, I think it definitely has become a majority of many of my recent conversations ... particularly with my mother.

For instance, a conversation with my mom the other day over the phone... and let me preface this with: my mom is not the nagging type, so imagine my surprise...and this conversation occurred in Ko-nglish... Korean/English mix.

Mom: "so are you still taking medicine?"

The Cake & Cake Toppers

I didn't have a single bite of cake the day of our wedding, but I was confident it would be delicious. Granted my niece, mother and I chowed down on the top layer two days later - but I knew b/c I had gotten my cake from Liz - a friend of my SIL who did all my SIL's cakes - from birthdays, to showers, to engagement parties and more... Liz simply made the best cake around. Not only that, but her price was beyond "budget prices"... Close to sheet cake prices, if you are in the OC/LA area - I would definitely recommend Liz. (hit me up if you want her info, we're talking EVERYTHING for UBER cheap!)

Our beautiful four tiered-four flavored cake (each layer was different flavor) was topped with the adorable cake toppers that my friend made (Made with love, by Ccarolee)... in spirit, our pups were with us every step of the way.

Our Table Names and Designs

Our beautiful ballroom was converted into a reception area with plenty of long banquet tables surrounding the room and 72 inch rounds sprinkled along the borders of the dance floor. To personalize things, our tables were identified with the pictures and names of our friends' dogs...

Allie from Flower Allie spent the majority of the day beautifying our tables with gorgeous tablescapes... we had one tablescape for the long banquets and then we had three different ones for the rounds...all these ideas came about with an amazingly creative planner - Paola {Just Chic Events} - and an amazingly creative florist - Allie!

Four Months...

I apologize for being absent this past week. My day job is kicking my butt... but i'll be back real soon with some more posts to complete the Wedding Weekend Recap...

Today, Hubby and I celebrate our four months of wedded bliss and it has flown by. We are getting ready to head out to our honeymoon at the end of the month ... - so any suggestions for what we can do in St. Maarten would be greatly appreciated.
