This Sunday is Annabelle's
BaekIl or 100 Day Celebration. In Korean culture, we celebrate the baby's survival to this special day with a celebration because often the first 100 days was the most difficult period. Also, some consider conception as the start of a child's life, so the 100 days would make it exactly 1 full year - thus, it is similar to a birthday celebration. I actually calculated her 100 days from her estimated due date and it coincides with her conception (my ovulation) date.
For this special occasion, we of course turned to one of my favorite invitation sites -
Storkie.com
My shower invitations were also from there (See
here and
here)
The three invitations I was debating between were these...
But we ultimately chose this as our invitation... I loved the soft colors and her photo fit perfectly in the card.
I can't say how pleased I was with the quality of the print and paper of this invitation. I loved how we could customize everything from the wording to the colors, and even rounding the corners instead of just the square corners. We have already received so many compliments on the invitation and I'm so happy it will be a beautiful keepsake to put in Annabelle's little album.
If you haven't been to Storkie.com yet, I really suggest you do. From wedding invitations and so much more, you can have fun customizable invitations that are fun to create as much as they are fun to send out. :)
Stay tuned for pictures from our event! :)
I love the one you chose! I know everything will be just beautiful this weekend.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the one you chose!!
ReplyDeleteAll of these are adorable! I just threw a baby shower for my best friend and now I'm on this total baby kick - too cute!
ReplyDeleteI would have loved the background on that second picture except that the picture of that lovely baby is a bit snotty and snobbish. You made an excellent choice! Just gave me the perfect idea for my baby prepper stuffs. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to leave a little note. Your artwork is absolutely stunning, and quite an inspiration! I would love for you to take a look at my site and leave some feedback. I’m just starting out and would love your advice! I love this flowers too, because they are bold but very delicate. Your suggestions for their use are amazing! I have used them as the larger flower in arrangements before, but they are very impressive in these photos as “lone stars”.I really like the gold theme. I've been researching some good wedding favors for a friend of mine and I stumbled on your site. Its a good thing I did. I really like your ideas.
ReplyDeleteReally the love the 1st invitation. It is so cute..
ReplyDeleteHello baby Annabelle :) you are just a cutie. BTW, your invitations are all stunning but I like more the second one :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute. :)
ReplyDeleteThere is no definition of beauty, but when you can see someone's spirit coming through, something unexplainable, that's beautiful to me.
